I just saw this same herd earlier on today.I have been following them for two years now and noticed there are three new colts traveling with them now.I tried to get pics but it was 1am and the flash on my camera sucks.I also notic one of the older horses now has a brad mark on its left flank.I have heard that the game and fish is now providing some care for these animals and has them under protection. They all still seem very alert and healthy

They are only 28,000 Mustangs left in the wild down from 2 MILLION in 1900, 1 MILLION in 1980 and the BLM wants to remove 12,000 more in 2011/2012! PLEASE CALL, WRITE and E-MAIL your Senators and demand they support and pass S.1176! The ILLEGAL activities against our Mustangs MUST STOP NOW!!!!! AND THIS BILL WILL ALSO STOP THE NEEDLESS AND INHUMANE SLAUGHTERING OF ALL EQUINES!! Here in America WE THE PEOPLE HAVE SPOKEN, WE WANT COMPANION RIGHTS FOR OUR HORSES!!

this is nothing compared to the scenery the settlers saw when they first arrived. The untouched Great Plains where buffaloes were thundering through and wild horses galloping majestically. Those were the times of north america natural glory.

@lovergirl0908 I thought the video was good, considering they’re filming it from a BOAT.

@lovergirl0908 Um, I’d imagine it’s pretty dang hard to keep a camera still while trying to navigate a raft in a river.

@Shaynavendela You get on tame horses, you find the herd and chase them into the washes where the banks are to high for them to climb up and get them so they cant run on either side, then you choose which ones you want and rope them and get them away from the herd to bring back to the corrals!
