Description

READ PLEASE.
Re-doing this one too!
This is strictly English, no arguing over Western vs. English riding please. They are both equestrian sports therefore im sure both are hard!
The clips are from pro-stallions.com.
Also, im Scottish. So if you’re American think of football as what you know as soccer.
Its known as football in the UK. So no more smart-ass comments saying ‘oh footballers do break their necks’ because im not talking about American Football!

At my school people ask me all the time what sport I do and when I say
horse riding, they say that it isn’t a sport and that it isn’t dangerous,
so when I tell them that I have had a broken arm, they say: well that was
probably a little broken before you go riding. I really hate those people
because when I say: try it one time yourself they say that they don’t have
to try it because they already know it is easy :( (sorry for my english i’m
dutch and not really good in english)

At 1:25 I can’t believe that rider was able to stay on over the next jump
    and right himself!

i agree with you about that people thinck that horse back riding is easy,
but is not true and you show it with this video…
i do horse back riding from when i was 5 years and now i’m 14 and when my
friend say me that horse back riding is easy and that is not a sport, but
with this video i’d show them the truth and they apologize :)

the worst thing on earth is when someone who cant ride properly or someone
who has never ridden watches the olympics and say ur just doing what the
horse does, or when you say that you spent the weekend riding and u r tired
and they say- ur jut siting on the horse, especially if its a stallion. omf
    its so irritating

I know that me and many of my friends know what it feels like to fall of.
It hurts but when you do it right it feels like you are flying. I hate when
someone from my school says that it would be so easy to do that and they
don’t even know how hard it is or how hard you have to work to make it look
good!!! GREAT video, it really shows how hard this sport really is! :)

@CrazyWesternRider, Different horses are trained different ways. English
horses are trained to have contact with the rider’s mouth, and also so that
they don’t get out of hand. Also, jumping a single 4 ft fence by yourself
is quite different fro jumping a 25 jump course with fences being 6 ft, and
including oxers, triple bars, water jumps, combinations, etc with a huge
crowd of people watching and pressuring you. It is also a completely new
setting and you are the one that has to see the distances. The horses are
also stallions, and have much more of a temper than mares.

    that is so true :D

Well, I don’t think jumping is amazing, or hard. I am western, and I jump
my horses over logs, I never have problems. English is just a horrid way to
    ride.

    hard

One. She put in the description that she means soccer. And two, more people
get more seriously hurt riding horses. There is an element you can’t
control with horses. Usually when American football players get hurt, it’s
because someone on the other team was playing dirty.

@CrazyWesternRider If English was so stupid then why is all the main
English disciplines in the Olympics? Showjumping, Dressage AND Eventing all
are in it. No Western disciplines are which suggests that English is
superior. I have never tried Western so again this is not my personal
opinion. Get off my videos and stop making rude comments about something
you clearly have absolutely no idea about at all.

1:20..omg..amazing rider! literally amazing:) great video! i agree with all
of it! unlike other sports you are having to work with a huge animal with a
mind of its own, not a motor bike that you control and you crash cos your
going too fast or summin.. a horse is a living thing and if it wanted too
could kill its rider in seconds. and i can bet there is more
deaths/accidents in equestrian sport than golf, football (english),
basketball ect. :) rant over. HORSEY PEOPLE LOOK AT MY VIDS, I SUB BACK

yes i agree that show jumping is a wonder sport but western is just as hard
because you do riening which is really fun also barrels and i know that
because i ride english and western and the rider that are jumping are
called riders not jockey those are people who race horses.. just letting
you know in case you never knew.

@turpoemmelie If you did showjumping you would realise most horses enjoy
it. Yes some people are horrible to their horses and yes these people
should be disqualified but just because one person hurts/frightens their
horse doesnt mean everyone in showjumping does it. Please don’t judge the
whole sport by one bad practioner.
