They know their time is up and the handler either walks up to the horse or the horse walks up to the handler. They are very intellegent.

I’m very sure its usual for both genders to do that, a lot of mares can be just as spunky as stallions ahaha

    It’s absolutly beautiful =)
I know this comment is a bit late, but do only the stallions show off like this? or do mares as well?

i dont know why everyones arguing over a class that is just for fun. An arab is enjoyable to watch run free specially because of their “floating trot” its not really a legit class you never see in an arabs accomplishments when its for sale or advertised that its “national champion liberty” horse or whatever. its just for enjoyment.

Arab horses aren’t stupid. On the countrery – they are too smart for some dumb sport horses… Just they have certain feeling of freedom. If you treat them with respect, they will ansver with loyality. And by the way, every breed is best in something. Arabs aren’t for dressage or equestrian. They are for running. Once you TRULLY know the arab horse, you will love him (or her).

Beautiful movement is just that, beautiful movement. That’s all. If you seen a vid of a famous horse like Totilas without knowing who he was, just trotting and cantering around his field, that would NOT prove he could perform dressage to an Olympic standard. You’d think “imposing horse, great movement”, but without a rider to guide him you’d have no idea he was the world’s most famous dressage horse.

Agree all you like, but ask an Arab hater why & they will say it’s cos they think they are crazy, because they think can’t do anything other than look pretty, and cos their owners think they are magical horses who shit rainbows and butterflies. Arab owners are well known for being thought of as being as nuts, when I moved my old Arab to livery thats exactly what people though of us at first. Liberty isn’t going to change any Arab haters minds cos it’s all about their looks, not their abilities.

wow you’re a complete dumbass…… i have to agree with Buzzrocks

Just because I’m not into the silly “circus ring” nonsense of the modern halter show and liberty circuits does not mean I don’t know anything about Arab horses, I just prefer mine to be able do something other than look pretty. You, on the other hand, can’t even spell conformation correctly.

WTF are you talking about? I spent most of my life living next door to a crabbet Arabian stud, they are the horse I’ve ridden more than any other and I love them dearly. So not only are you not listening, you’re being ignorant and making judgements about me too. “I consider” you learn how to communicate properly and learn some manners. Poncing about a ring does NOT prove a horse can compete in endurance, racing or anything else.

It does as well prove athleticism. Because do you think that any horse with decent confirmation would be able to move like that? They have excell to be able to move like that. This is what ticks me off. When people like you think they know everything, when they know close to nothing. I consider you learn more about the arabian horse.
