@horsesLcool what do u mean. don’t know alot bout horses? I just thought this looked abit forceful for the horse, like all the video’s with people teaching their horses to lie down.. and, maybe it does create a bond, but I think riding creates a bond like anything else!

@AbieyieLovesYou well..Maybe if you knew a thing or two about horses you would know the more you train horses to lay down the more of a bond they would have between you and the horse. Since horses are prey animals and when horses do lay down they are in a vulnerable position. If you do it right the horse won’t think of you as a predator. The more you teach a horse that your not a predator the more it trust you.

i don’t get it. why do people treat horses like dogs? aren’t they only supposed to be rid, not doing commands.

good method but….is it wise to try and lay the horse down between a trailer and a car? it could’ve been ugly if the horse had struggled badly.

8 People must be Parelli freaks…. Horses are 1500 pounds animals that can kill you in one kick if they wanted…. THEY ARE NOT YOUR PET DOG! I use this method with all my horses, And their fine… I can’t stand people that Baby there horses like there a pet that lives in there house. QUIT BABYING YOUR HORSES, Less would be going to slaughter. Babied horses Makes bad manners which means someones going to get hurt and eventually end bad for the horse. I love this method Good job.

I rellay dont like this way to get a horse laying down! the horses just fight so they dont have to get down by force. And after a while when u haved done it many times teh horse dossent care about what u do och dossent do with the horse. This is not a solution to get a horse down

obvisouly this horse trusts his human, so it was all right and relaxed ! you couldn’t do that with every horse but in this case it was quite a good job !

The only thing I have to criticize from this is that he pas pulling the leg a little too much to the outside for my liking when he first tried to lay him down. would have been better to wrap the rope around the horses body as well so the leg was pulled more to the inside than the outside. would have been more comforting to the horse to have the leg under him if he was to lay down than to have it way off to the side where it could get pulled if he tried to lay on it.

@KMAClives2ride Clearly you don’t proof read comments before you post them. I will NEVER make my horses lay down for me. It’s not necessary and takes a lot of energy out of the horse. Oh btw, watch his ears and his back, he is tense and he does not like it. He also shouldn’t have stood on his back like that. He put a lot of weight on one small area which is not good for the horses spine. I sure wouldn’t like anyone standing on me.

@Andrea9514 clearly in the horse was in any kind of pain he would have let him know.. he had his head down he was breathing normally and didnt even flinch, obviously you dont read body language very well.
